don't try this at home

this is why there are straps in swings!!  late at night a while ago, baby r was having trouble falling asleep, so I was trying the swing.  she was squirming around like crazy, and the next thing I knew, her bum was almost hanging off the edge!  she looks really sleepy doesn't she?  i had to grab the camera and snap a photo, love her smile.  she doesn't go in there much anymore, we never really had to rely on it for going to sleep because she's good at putting herself to sleep in her crib (YESSS!)  in fact, I think it's time to put it away. we could use the extra space for.....space!  She's graduated to the bumbo seat, exersaucer, and pretty soon a high chair.  

I just remembered a time when L was in the swing as a bigger baby, and the next time I went into the room, she was on her tummy on the floor.  She had fallen out, but obviously in such a graceful way that it caused her no harm or alarm - she was just chillin' on the floor. oops.
