on vacuums

My handy hubby installed a new built-in vacuum system today - hooray!  He's pretty pleased with himself, and I'm impressed too. Since moving into this house 3.5 years ago, all sorts of hidden talents have been coming out him, with projects and fixing things around the house.  He just never had a chance to discover them before! We had the built-in valves and tubes already in the house when we moved in, but we decided against putting in the system for cost reasons.  Now we wonder why we didn't, there's no comparison to the clumsy ol' upright we've been using, that doesn't vacuum well on anything other than carpet. And we have alot of other-than-carpet flooring.  So, here we are excited about our new vacuum, it doesn't take much.
