a little burst of craftiness (and purpleness)

spring is in the air! love these little signs of spring popping up all over the yard, even if the weather isn't cooperating yet.

little outfit I made for the daughter of some friends in Mexico. O was a willing model, and he thought it was pretty funny to wear girl's clothing. when he looked in the mirror, he said he looked like his cousin Z.

slinging it - I made this sling (copied from my sister-in-law's) for Mexico. for times like walking on the beach, long walks in town when O might want the stroller, etc. I'm kicking myself for not making one 2 years ago, I'm sure we won't use it much when we get back. I used Robert Kaufman fabric, super simple to make, just 2 strips of fabric sewn together.

We're on our way to the sunshine in two days! Heading to Cabo for 2 weeks of glorious sunshine, I think that's what I'm craving the most right now. It's been such a dull winter, that the rare days of sunshine are such a thrill and a mood lifter. Looking forward to planting my veggie garden when we get back, and going up to K-town to celebrate my grandma's 90th b'day, and meet the two new tiny members of our family that will have arrived by then! Happy Spring!
