a late-night latte accompanied me downstairs for a late-night sewing session of 2 new stroller seats for my twin niece and nephew's birthday. Thankfully, the coffee didn't keep me awake when I got to bed sometime after midnight, but I was willing to take that risk! Doll stroller seats are generally pretty plain and boring, so this is a fun way to make it colorful and personal.
For my first re-do a couple years ago, I picked apart the seat, traced a pattern (2 pieces), and figured it out from there. This time I made them double sided, partly for durability when real babies/toddlers go for rides, and partly for the cute factor when seen from the back. Unfortunately I can't find a good place in my house with bright light and plain background for taking photos, so this is what I got. Little Miss R was quite pleased with the abundance of strollers in the house for a few days!
The recipients loved the strollers, of course not caring about the pretty seats, but the fact that they can now push their babies around the house.
Now I have moved on to other projects, and it feels great to be sitting at the sewing machine so frequently again!
