stockings

We are spending Christmas with our good friends in the SF Bay area this year. Their 2 girls do stockings on Xmas morning, so I wanted to have some to take down with us. Rather than buy some generic ones from Walmart, I made some from my stash of fabric. Not that there's anything wrong with generic ones from Walmart. I had other fabric in mind, but O picked out this snowman/dots for his, so I just made them all the same.

I traced a stocking that I found in our Christmas rubbermaid, and made the top cuff with the help of an online tutorial. The stockings aren't lined, but the cuffs are double sided. I printed the letters off the computer and ironed them on after tracing them onto fusible webbing. I seem to default to the "Cooper Black" font a lot. The little red pom-poms are the icing on the cake.

The kids love their stockings, and as you can see they can also be used as a crown or boots.

Leah, these are soooo cute. Love them. That snowman fabric is so nice isn't it. I made a pillowcase for K out of it, in pink of course. I love the pom poms too, the perfect touch!
