making a mobile

Yesterday I made this owl mobile, thanks to the template provided by joel on his blog 'made by joel'. He's an artist who stays at home with his preschooler twins, and is always designing and making simple but functional toys for them. He often provides instructions and a template to print out, which is what I did with this owl. I alternated between scissors and an exacto knife to cut out the pieces, and attached them with thread and scotch tape. We've hung it in the living room and it seems like every time I look at it, some of the pieces are lazily spinning around.
