wooden trinket house revamped

I always check out the wooden section at Value Village, our thrift store, to see what fun, paintable things they have there.  I was excited to find this little trinket house that would be perfect for the girls' many little figurines.  It hung on the wall in all it's wooden glory for about a year, but I always had plans to paint it and make it fun and colourful.

Lily was happy to help with this little project.  I found a can of wall paint in our garage that was the perfect blue for their bedroom.  The pink was a glossy craft paint.  I had a set of scrapbook paper that matched nicely for all the squares.  That part was easy too. I quickly measured the squares, cut out paper the same size with my handy paper-cutter, and used a glue stick to adhere them.

And TA-DA! cute trinket house!
