signs of autumn

the colour orange is everywhere! I'm loving the brilliant displays of fall's beauty.  Almost making us forget how miserable the weather is most days.  I can't get enough of the bright orange leaves on the trees and carpeting the ground below, and bright orange pumpkins.

one late afternoon, I looked out the back window and was stunned

to see our tree glowing in the sunlight. I couldn't capture it

but the colour and brightness was unreal, against a grey backdrop

partly sunny, partly cloudy

we looked for a rainbow, but it was very faint

beautiful trees in our neighbourhood

walking with Lily and classmates on a little hiking field trip 

we're still enjoying the tail end of this beauty

some recent winds and rain have swept the majority of leaves off trees

soon it will be time to pull out the rake
