way back in February 2010, the winter olympics came to Vancouver!
It was an incredibly exciting experience having them in our own city,
and I wanted to make sure it wasn't completely forgotten,
especially by the kids, years down the road.
So for the past couple of years, I've been carrying around this
little collection of photos and memorabilia to make a scrapbook.
which I finally did!
some things I included in this fun album:
lots of photos
postcards and stickers
colouring pages of the mascots
lots of mascot things
(because they are so cute)
olympic-themed school work
lyrics of our olympic song
print out of final medal tally
lately I've been making photo albums online,
so it was a fun change putting together this little book
by hand, and I'm glad to have it sitting on the coffee table!
the girls made their own masterpieces with my stamps

IT's so fun to have little keepsakes like that. Just before we left Kelowna I spent an hour down in the library looking at old photo albums.... so many memories stored there! Reminded me of how important photo albums and scrapbooks are:-) xoxo
